Default 8 hour layover in Paris

We fly into Paris CD Airport Saturday Sept 25. We have an 8 hour layover. We will be there from 7.30 am to 13.30. We would like to see a few major sights as we have not been to Paris before. I can find the suggestion for taking RER blue line into Paris. what sites would you suggest and how would you suggest getting there in that time frame? Thank you so much in advance for your help.

Because of weekend construction on the RER B, I strongly suggest you do a lot of Internet research to determine if this can be done, conveniently. You may have a major problem, time-wise, getting back to CDG to, I assume, catch a departing flight. Obviously, you have the time to visit the city, but be careful with your timing. Sites? Arch of Triumph, Notre Dame Cathedral, Eiffel Tower, Louvre Museum. Get a Paris map (use the Internet) to plot your trip. Once in Paris, these sites can be easily visited by Metro.
