I would need to travel from CDG Airport to Place Monge Station. Do I need to buy a separate ticket when I am in Chatelet Les Halles Station? Or my RER ticket from the airport will do?

Your RER ticket is valid for the transfer to Metro until you complete your journey to Place Monge.
